CURRENT DRHS PROJECTS

The DRHS is involved with many hands-on projects.

• Maintaining and operating locomotive D&RGW 315
• Reconstructing some Silverton Northern track and restoring the Silverton Northern engine house, jointly with the San Juan County Historical Society
• Restoring D&RGW narrow gauge freight cars, currently a drop bottom gondola and a high side gondola.

All these projects are equally important in preserving our fragile railroad history.
